Yuel is a charming and eager, albeit rather eccentric miqo'te mage, who's pale beauty and wit make her a creature of repute. She delights in mischief, often combined with the flirtatious demeanor of someone confident in their appearance. Still, it's never truly clear what extent of her personality is genuine. Her seemingly random behavior is most certainly an act brought about by a desire to create chaos wherever she goes. However, she is sufficiently educated, with an intelligence far more impressive then her antics may let on, causing friend and foe alike to continuously underestimate her.Yuel is from a noble family from Ul'dah and grew up on her father's wealth, a nobleman well known for his spectacular designs and reclusive nature. It is said her mother was a Thavnarian dancer brought overseas to the city-state from the mysterious shores of Mercadya. With a solitudinarian father and foreign mother there are plenty of rumors to be had, however, it is not wise to further question the details of her estranged family lineage.

The Bedivere family is a well known noble family from the city state of Ul'dah. Originally a lesser Ishgardian house, an argument over inheritance would eventually spark a split, resulting in half the family staying and the other half leaving. It didn't take long for the former members to assimilate into the desert society, taking a great interest in thaumaturgy and most practices involving the manipulation of aether. For years after they were hailed as powerful sorcerers and mages with vast amounts of aetherical energy. Each generation passed down the tradition of rune craft and the study of elemental magic. Since not every body is attuned to the same kind of aether, the study of ones own element and the mastery of such is a critical skill held in high regard within the family.The majority of Bedivere members in the past grew into strong magi or acclaimed scholars in their fields, but the current star of the family, a man known as Arden went in a completely different direction. Rumor has it he was not as aetherically in tune as his siblings and fell behind in his study's, although whether that is true or false remains unknown.What is known- is that at the age of eighteen, instead of inheriting the position of family head, Arden decided to pass the responsibility's down to his brother- moving over sees to study the textiles and weaving done in foreign lands. Arden would return seven years later and dazzle the streets of Ul'dah not with his magic, but instead with his unique designs and lovely fabrics. He is a popular designer among the aristocrats and owns his own private tailor shop. Although she presents herself as a delicate lady it is common knowledge that Yuel was once part of a mercenary group. The group in question was well known for dealing with creatures of the void in and around Eorzea. The group has since disbanded but Yuel always seems to be on the look out for anything strange and interesting.

Having recently quit mercenary work, the miqo'te found herself becoming a secretary and assistant to the manager of The Wildflower Athenaeum. Despite holding the title of 'Antiquarian' she spends most of her days lounging around, drinking tea and avoiding paperwork.

Though she looses more then she gains that has never stopped Yuel from throwing her lot into games involving stakes. She's know in most circles for her excessive gambling and impeccable poker face. Despite recent attempts to stop, It's not uncommon to find her sneaking around the golden saucer. Mayhap you are old gambling companions? or maybe she owes you money.
